If you will be traveling on Corkscrew Road before and after the storm, please be advised:
Hurricane preparations are nearly complete on the Corkscrew Road Widening Project. This includes clearing the site of any lose materials and supplies, and removing ALL barrels and MOT devices. Drivers MUST follow all pavement markings. DO NOT CROSS SOLID YELLOW OR SOLID WHITE LINES. Solid yellow lines delineate traffic lanes, solid white lines mark the outside of the roadway.
Motorists should also remember that the lane configurations remain the same throughout the project and specifically at the Ben Hill Griffin Parkway intersection. This includes one lane eastbound, and one lane southbound to eastbound. If you must drive at this time, we urge drivers to please use extreme caution and follow all pavement markings.
The contractor has multiple crews scheduled to be onsite as soon as the storm passes to clear the site of any debris and restore traffic control devices.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. ~ John 15:13
