Ever wonder what goes on behind the big doors of the fire stations here in Estero? Well, here’s your chance to find out! Estero Fire Rescue will hold an open house at the Administration Complex and the adjacent Station #43 on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. The Administration Complex is located at 21500 Three Oaks Parkway in Estero.
This is your chance to find out what the life of a firefighter is really about. Take a look around the station and talk to the firefighters about the tools and apparatus on display. Find out about the emergency medical care that Estero Fire Rescue provides and the equipment they use. Commissioners will be on hand to meet you and answer any questions that you may have.
In addition to the serious topic of emergency medical care and fire safety, we will also have some fun. Firefighters will be grilling hot dogs and serving up their award winning chili for our visitors as well as truck and station tours. Spend some time getting to know your Estero Fire Fighters.
Estero Fire’s own Dalmatian, Ember, will be there to meet and greet friends as well
We will also be giving out information for the upcoming brushfire season and how to make your home and community a safer place to live. Young people can learn about the growing Estero Fire Rescue Explorer program and all residents can learn about the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program, plus the many other life safety programs and classes offered by Estero Fire Rescue.
Please join us at the Administration Complex and the adjacent Station #43 on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and enjoy some food and fun, while learning about your Fire Rescue Service and important life-safety issues. We hope to see you there! For questions, contact Susan Lindenmuth at 239-390-8000.
