Fill-the-Boot for MDA

fill-the-boot[1]Estero Firefighters will take to the streets for the annual “Fill-the-Boot” campaign to support muscular dystrophy patients and their families.  Firefighters this year are looking to exceed last year’s donation amount of $21,200, the largest amount raised by a fire district in Lee County.

Estero Firefighters are members of the International Association of Firefighters, an association that has been a national sponsor of MDA since 1954.  Across the county, the ‘Fill-the-Boot” campaign raises hundreds of thousands of dollars for MDA research, mobility equipment, summer camps for MDA patients and support for their families.  Firefighters continue to be the longest, most generous donors for MDA.

Estero Firefighters ask you join the fight against muscular dystrophy by helping ‘Fill-the-Boot”.  Members will be at the following intersections in Estero on Friday, 3/28, Saturday 3/29 and Sunday 3/30/08:

Ben Hill Griffith and Corkscrew Road  8:00 am to 11:00 am and 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Coconut Rd and US 41                8:00 am to 11:00 am and 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm
