Estero Fire Rescue announces that Fire Chief Scott Vanderbrook has been selected as one of five fire chief’s from across the country to address members attending the Sutphen National Sales Meeting in Dublin, Ohio.
Sutphen is a major manufacturer of fire apparatus and an industry leader in innovation in the aerial ladder and platform market. Sutphen has a long history in the fire service industry, having been family owned and operated since 1890.
Chief Vanderbrook along with the four other selected members will discuss the future design and development of apparatus to assist manufacturers in meeting the needs of fire departments, specifically related to the needs and challenges with the economic downturn.
Chief Vanderbrook has served as the Fire Chief for Estero Fire Rescue since September 10, 2008. He joined Estero Fire Rescue in 1998 after beginning his career in Newark, New York as a volunteer subsequently moving to Central Florida in 1989. With over 25 years in the fire service, Chief Vanderbrook feels honored to have been chosen to this panel. “It is a unique opportunity to provide input specific to our needs as well as shape the future of the fire service through the development of key apparatus.”
