About Our Fire Prevention Team

Members of Estero Fire Rescue who are responsible for community risk management and fire prevention are known as the Blue Team.  Blue Team members review plans for all new construction in the District, except for one and two-family dwellings, conduct new construction inspections, routine inspections to insure fire protection and life safety is maintained in existing buildings, provide fire and life safety education programs, fire and arson investigation, public information and code consulting services.  Plan review and new construction inspection costs are offset by fees charged for these services.  A portion of the overall fire department operating budget funds all other services.  Citizens of Estero are encouraged to take advantage of fire and life safety education programs, CPR and fire extinguisher training classes, baby sitter safety, fire truck demonstrations, Citizens Emergency Response Training (CERT) classes and various other safety programs offered to businesses and residents. more....public education
