Estero Fire Rescue is a certified Basic Life Support (BLS) Community Training Center for the American Heart Association (AHA). Students are taught by certified AHA instructors on how the EMS system works and to recognize stroke, angina, heart attack and cardiac arrest.

The American Heart Association (AHA) curriculum provides comprehensive CPR training that aligns with their official guidelines, designed to equip individuals with the skills necessary to perform life-saving techniques on adults, children, and infants.

In addition to the core CPR skills, the AHA CPR course also includes important training for treating choking victims, as well as instruction on how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) effectively.

Students receive a two-year CPR card from the American Heart Association.
